Photo feature: A Lunch with Legends
St. Louis Media History Foundation hosts lunch for "legendary" alum of the STL advertising and marketing biz. I went and had a legendary time.
Let there be lunch!
On June 17, 2021, The St. Louis Media History Foundation hosted a reunion of alumni of the advertising business — “legends,” in the foundation’s words. I was thrilled to be invited and had a blast seeing long-lost friends and colleagues.
Of course I couldn’t resist some quick selfies with some legendary mad men, er, ad men. Sat on my phone for most of the event, but as it was wrapping up, I said to myself, “I am NOT going to miss a chance to get a pic with some of these folks.”
Like who? Like:
Marc Chechik, former creative director at Simmons & Durham
Bob Kochan, president of Kochan & Company.
Tim Rogers, founder of Rogers|Townsend, & Mike Dillon, long-time creative director, currently at Checkmark.
Gerry Mandel, former creative director and writer at DMB&B.
Carole Christie, former Creative Director at DMB&B.
Charlie Claggett, former president of DMB&B.
Frank Absher of the St. Louis Media History Foundation.
Ken Ohlemeyer of the St. Louis Media History Foundation
My verdict on lunch:
Historic!
